CAT60 cable contains four pairs of copper wire like the CAT50 but unlike the CAT50 it uses all four pairs and supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps), frequencies up to 250 MHz and also supports communications at more than twice the speed of a CAT50 cable. As with all other types of twisted pair EIA/TIA cabling, CAT60 cable runs are limited to a maximum of 100m.
